Activity: Field Trip to Parker’s Apple Orchard

Description: Our Kindergarten classes will be traveling to Parker’s Apple Orchard to learn about the apple business. They will also travel to a nearby community building to eat lunch and then they will be traveling back to school.

A few more details:

We will be leaving the school at 9am in our church vans driven by qualified drivers. We will travel to the apple orchard and then to a nearby community center to eat lunch. We should arrive back at school no later than 1:30pm.

Students that purchased a school lunch will be provided with a bagged lunch and drink. All other students need to pack a lunch and drink that is fully disposable.

One parent is allowed to attend but they will need to meet us at the orchard no later than 10am. If a parent attends, they will be solely responsible for their child once we arrive at the orchard and can take them home after the field trip completes.

Please be sure your child wears closed toed shoes, preferably tennis shoes.

I am fully aware that my child will be transported to and from this activity and that there will be ample supervision. I have previously completed a Medical/Liability Release Form for my child. By signing this permission slip, I am confirming that the information on his/her Medical/Liability Release Form is current and up to date. I understand in the unlikely event of an accident or emergency that my child will receive adequate care based upon the information given. I assume all risks, hazards and incidentals involved in the conduct of the activity. I do hereby release, indemnify and hold harmless Headwaters Educational Enrichment and South River Baptist Church from any and all loss, injury or other damage arising out of this activity. I understand that the child will be transported to and from the offiste activity and I also understand the inherent risks in any travel, and agree to waive any and all liability on behalf of the referenced organizations for those risks.
