We will be leaving the school at 8am in one of our church buses with a qualified driver.

Students will see the importance of being a keeper of God’s Kingdom – which includes the animals! We believe seeing Highland Canine employees care for God’s creatures is a perfect fit for our students to make the connection from the books to the real world. We expect student’s behavior to be fruitful and refer daily to the 9 Fruits of the Spirit. We feel learning that the trainers serve others by working with the police force, therapy dogs, and unruly residential dogs will provide a concrete example of fruitful behavior for the students. Our classroom library has large stuffed dogs that the students have practiced reading to all year. Highland Canine will provide real dogs for the students to read to! We will spend out time learning how they to take care of God’s creation.

We will return to school to eat lunch so no special lunches are needed.

Please be sure your child wears a Headwaters t-shirt, closed toed shoes, preferably tennis shoes (NO CROCS) and dress appropriately for the expected weather that day.

I am fully aware that my child will be transported to and from this activity and that there will be ample supervision. I have previously completed a Medical/Liability Release Form for my child. By signing this permission slip, I am confirming that the information on his/her Medical/Liability Release Form is current and up to date. I understand in the unlikely event of an accident or emergency that my child will receive adequate care based upon the information given. I assume all risks, hazards and incidentals involved in the conduct of the activity. I do hereby release, indemnify and hold harmless Headwaters Educational Enrichment and South River Baptist Church from any and all loss, injury or other damage arising out of this activity. I understand that the child will be transported to and from the offiste activity and I also understand the inherent risks in any travel, and agree to waive any and all liability on behalf of the referenced organizations for those risks.
